If the Product Key and specific version of Windows XP that is linked
to it are known, then all one needs is the cdrom for that particular
version. The Windows XP cdrom can be duplicated. Borrow a copy and
rip it to replace the lost disc.
You need the CD. There are several options. If it's a retail version and
you have proof of purchase see this link:

If it's an OEM version you'll need to contact the vendor you got it from.
They probably won't be able to help you free of cost. If it's a major OEM
you might be able to purchase a replacement from them at a lower cost.
The XP CD is not unique. Any XP CD of the same type as you have installed
will work with the product key. It has to match as to:
Home v. Pro
Retail v. Generic OEM v. Branded OEM v. Volume License version
Language
So another option is to find someone who has the same XP installed and copy
their CD
If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer.
