Re-install xp pro upgrade.. ASAP

I had to repair another machine with the upgrade cd and now have same keycode
on both machines. I wish to keep the new machine with the repair xp. My
question is:

I have a new in the box upgrade cd, can I install it on an existing xp pro
machine inorder to activate it?

Does that make sense. So that way each machine is activate properly.

You can change the cd-key provided the two windows versions are the same

(ie, both upgrade)
