Recently had a major crash and had to re-install xp home.
All went ok but sound card not operating. The multimedia
audio cotroller not up and running as drivers for this
device are not installed.
How do I go about sorting this prob.

Install the drivers.

If you have the audio as part of the motherboard then visit the motherboard
OEM and download the latest audio drivers and install.
If you have a separate audio card visit the web site of the OEM and download
the latest drivers for your card,

Due to having to re-install and reformat, all dtls lost.
how can I get the necessary info re: motherboard/audio
card??>-----Original Message-----

Contacted comp manufacturer who gave me web site for
manufacturer of motherboard and dtls of how to get hold
of compatable driver.Downloaded and installed ok.
Now receiving msg that sound device not installed
although I know its obviously present. Any ideas on how
to get this re-installed.
