Re-install Visual C++

J

John Smith

I know this may not be the proper news group but know there are some
very knowledgeable, helpful techs here.

Due to a failing hard drive I attempted to uninstall MS Visual C++. The
uninstall failed and on the add/remove program screen shows
"? Visual Studio.NET Baseline-English" with mo "size" entry. Clickin on
it does not display the "Change/Remove" option.

When I try to install from CD it says it found a failed installation and
tries to remove it. The removal gives the following error messages:
[09/04/06,15:09:24] setup.exe: [2] Value (directory) from
g_szRegvalSuiteLocation doesn't exist in
CSetupManager::RemoveSetupFiles()
[09/04/06,15:09:24] setup.exe: [2] CSetupManager::RemoveSetupFiles()
failed in CSetupManager::RunInstall()

Is there some way to resolve this problem?

TIA for any help.

John
