Error Installing .NET 3

Got this error when trying to install .NET3 both from download and from msi
under Windows dir.
XPE Version is Rollout 1.0
Use .NET 3 component with dependancies resolved.

Note that I downloaded and installed MXSML 6.0 Parser but that didn't solve
the problem

did you install other version of .NET as well (such as .NET2)
I read somewhere else, on some blog, that you had incompatibilities between
the various .NET components.
To solve that I only install .NET 3 (which install all earlier version, save
for 1.1 & 1.0)

I selected the .NET2 component as well.
My understanding is:
- The .NET2 component is completely integrated but you don't want .NET1.1
with it.
-- The .NET3 component is just a post FBA install so it reboots to install
it after FBA.
THat seem to happen but .NET3 didn't show as being installed.

Just to be clear, you have only included the .NET Framework 3.0 Setup
component and neither .NET 2.0 or 1.1 - is this correct?

You cannot have the .NET 2.0 component and the .NET 3.0 component in the
configuration. .NET 3.0 will install .NET 2.0 by default.

I selected the .NET2 component as well.
My understanding is:
- The .NET2 component is completely integrated but you don't want .NET1.1
with it.
-- The .NET3 component is just a post FBA install so it reboots to install
it after FBA.
THat seem to happen but .NET3 didn't show as being installed.

did you install other version of .NET as well (such as .NET2)
I read somewhere else, on some blog, that you had incompatibilities
between
the various .NET components.
To solve that I only install .NET 3 (which install all earlier version,
save
for 1.1 & 1.0)

Just to be clear, you have only included the .NET Framework 3.0 Setup
component and neither .NET 2.0 or 1.1 - is this correct?

You cannot have the .NET 2.0 component and the .NET 3.0 component in the
configuration. .NET 3.0 will install .NET 2.0 by default.

I selected the .NET2 component as well.
My understanding is:
- The .NET2 component is completely integrated but you don't want .NET1.1
with it.
-- The .NET3 component is just a post FBA install so it reboots to install
it after FBA.
THat seem to happen but .NET3 didn't show as being installed.

I read somewhere else, on some blog, that you had incompatibilities
between
the various .NET components.
To solve that I only install .NET 3 (which install all earlier version,
save
for 1.1 & 1.0)

That was the solution!
- Do not select both .NET 2 & .NET 3 in TD (Select only .NET 3 if you want
that).
- That means that the required components for .NET 3 will be added and the
runtime install will be included.
- After FBA and first boot run the dotnetfx3.msi in \windows to install .NET
3.
(I thinkI had the To install .NET 3 after FBA checked but it didn't happen
?? .. Not to worry though)

PS: Shouldn't TD indicate that there is a choice between .NET 2 or .NET 3
(Mutually exclusive) components in Resolve Dependencies.

Just to be clear, you have only included the .NET Framework 3.0 Setup
component and neither .NET 2.0 or 1.1 - is this correct?

You cannot have the .NET 2.0 component and the .NET 3.0 component in the
configuration. .NET 3.0 will install .NET 2.0 by default.

I selected the .NET2 component as well.
My understanding is:
- The .NET2 component is completely integrated but you don't want .NET1.1
with it.
-- The .NET3 component is just a post FBA install so it reboots to install
it after FBA.
THat seem to happen but .NET3 didn't show as being installed.

did you install other version of .NET as well (such as .NET2)
I read somewhere else, on some blog, that you had incompatibilities
between
the various .NET components.
To solve that I only install .NET 3 (which install all earlier version,
save
for 1.1 & 1.0)
