Re-install folder permissions

E

Emery

I have a partitioned hard drive with Windows XP
installed on one partition. When I reinstalled Windows,
all my folders that were declared private on the previous
installation are no longer accessable, even though I am
still the administrator.
How do I change or reset the folder permissions on my
currrent installation.

Thanks,

Emery

I am having the same problem on my hard drive. I can't
access "My Documents" at all. I tried to reinstall
Windows XP over the existing XP installation however,
this did not work and now my other programs wont run. I
just want to get access to My Documents so I can copy it
to backup then Format the whole drive. I've been working
on this problem for at least 3 weeks now. It all started
when I updated my NVIDIA video drivers. My computer
would no longer boot - It would just hang. I've put in a
new HD and used "Copy Commander" to duplicate the drive
just in case my efforts at reinstalling failed.
Thanks in Advance!
Shannan
