My Xp has crashed and I can't get the system to re-boot... have tried
re-booting using floppy but just get to the A:/ in DOS. What do I do from
here?

If you boot from a DOS diskette one would expect only to see a DOS prompt
once the startup is complete.

For what reason are you booting into DOS?

What was the error message?

Can you get Windows XP to boot up in Safe Mode?

More information as to what went wrong and what you cannot do will assist
other to help you get up and running quickly.

First of all .. Go into your Bios and Try to Redetect the Hard Drive.
before even trying the boot disk

#2 a dos Boot disk will not let you See a NTFS drive.. The boot disk
will see a fat32 Hard drive.
