Re-Activation

Can anyone tell me how to get my computer to Re-Activate?

I was having trouble with my video card, so I uninstalled it (software
only), downloaded and installed updated drivers for it, and re-booted. Upon
re-boot, I got the ol' Hardware has changed...Reactivate... message. System
is working great.
Now, every time I boot, I get that same message and periodically, I get the
icon on my taskbar.
The problem is, I click on the "Yes" Button to activate NOW and nothing
happens. Then I also click on the "Activate" balloon at the taskbar and
again nothing happens. The system doesn't re-activate when I tell it to, but
I keep getting prompted to activate.

I checked the handy-dandy Windows Help, and was given a command line for the
"Run" command (oobe/...etc). Copy and pasted that command and got a message
that the file could not be found. Help also told me the "Activation Wizard"
could be accessed from the Start button under Accessories/System Tools, but
I looked and I couldn't find it.

I've been using this hardware for about ten months now, and had already
re-activated it then.

My (Same old) Hardware
MSI 865PE MB
1GB Corsairs 3200 400mhz RAM (2 X 512)
1 80 GB Maxtor HD (4 equal partitions)
1 25 GB Maxtor HD (2 equal partitions)
Sound Blaster PCI Sound card
eVGA 5600FX 256mb Video Card
1 Samsung CDROM RW
1 (Unknown Brand) DVD ROM Drive
1 Generic 1.44 Floppy Drive
17" Proview LCD Flat Monitor.

I'm using Windows XP Home.

Someone told me to check for the msoobe.exe file in the
windows/system32/oobe folder. Well, that folder is there, but the file is
not, and that folder only has a couple of files in it. I do have another
computer networked, should I copy the files or the whole folder from the
other computer to enable Activation? Or should I just wait and see what the
system does in a few hours when the allowed activation times runs out?

Try repairing the registry entries for the activation .DLL files.

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

Good luck

First, Start - Run and run the two lines
regsvr32 licdll.dll
regsvr32 regwizc.dll

Then get on the net in advance and go to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows
Where Activate on the net should go through in 20 seconds or so
