Hello, i am doing a complete upgrade on my computer
within the next few days. This includes a motherboard &
cpu, and a reformat and clean install of windows xp home
upgrade from ME. I understand i have to get a new
activation key from Microsoft, i tried looking for an
email address or phone number but could not find one, can
someone give me some insight on this, thank you.

Select the option to "activate by telephone" if you are unable
to successfully activate via the internet.

I was hoping to get the new key before i reinstall
everything, is there a 800 number i can call, or will i
beable to get a new key when i try to activate again?

Dylan;
Depending on your specific circumstances, a new key may not be
necessary.
If phone activation is necessary, you will need to call the number,
done in about 5 minutes.
Most likely far less than you are spending searching to get a key in
advance which is not possible.

Oh, ok jupiter jones, thank you. I was under the
assumption i needed the new key before the new install.
Thanks again, Dylan
