RDP displaywidth maximum 1600

Are there plans to increase the maximum displaywidth in RDP? Based on my
research, the current max RDP resolution is 1600x1200.

I have an HP f2105 with 1680x1050 native resolution. I cannot RDP to my
remote servers at the ideal resolution for this screen.

Wide displays are becoming more prevalent these days, so I can't be the only
one suffering with this limitation.

This is the same limitation I'm running into at the moment. My display is
1920x1200, but when I select the "full screen" display option for RDP, it
maxes out at 1600x1200.
