RDC: Disallow local drive mapping

T

Twan Kennis

We'd like to service our employees to work remotely by using Remote
Desktop to connect to their own Windows XP workstation at the office.
Because of security reasons we'd like to disallow the option to connect
to local drives within the RDC-session.
Is there some group policy setting or option to disallow local drive
mapping?

You can set this via Group Policy...

Computer Configuration=>Administrative Templates=>Windows
Components=>Terminal Services=>Client/Server Data Redirection and the
Do not allow drive redirection policy.
