RDC and XP home edition

I have home network with 2 PC's , both running win XP home edition
I can find RDC in programs/accessories/remote desktop control on both of my
PC
but in my computer/properties/remote tab there is only section for remote
assistance
is this why I can not connect to neither of my PCs?
should I download/install some additional program to run RDC?
what are other options (secure)?
thank you

As always - Windows XP Home Edition only has Remote Assistance innately -
Remote Desktop is part of the Professional line of Windows XP and Windows
Servers.

You should look into UltraVNC, in my opinion.
