RD for PCs in networks

I want to connect 2 pcs in tow different networks with RD. Both the
server and client PCs are behind routers with NAT, do i need to assign
both PCs a static private IP and set port forwarding on 3389 in both
routers?

Just to add to David:

You may want to use a static private IP. This isn't required, but if some
restart of the router results in new IP's being distributed, forwarding will
fail.
