RC1 installation error

This is the second time I've tried to install Vista and come across the same
problem. I first tried with the beta release, now I am trying to install the
RC1. It gets to expanding files, then this error message comes up:

Windows cannot install required files. The file does not exist. Make sure
all files required for installation are available, and restart the
installation. Error code: 0x80070003.

WHAT file does not exist, and why doesnt it? I burned the ISO with Alcohol
120%. On the second attempt, where it listed the partition information, I
clicked advanced and chose to format the drive in case that was causing
problems... still didnt work. I'm not sure how to use the file integrity
checker I've been reading about. If someone could give me a direct link to it
that would be great...it would be a place to start. Can someone help me
figure this out before I give up completely????

Thanks,
Blondie

This is the same error that I get. I have tried burning the dvd with Roxio
and Nero. I have tried every burn speed available. I have even tried mounting
the iso file as a drive using roxio and burning a data dvd from the mounted
drive. Nothing works. I had no problem with beta 2.

Now I know why Bill Gates is distancing himself from Microsoft. In my
opinion Vista will be the last Windows operating system. I think that they
know that also. RC1 is a total P.O.S. I am not wasting any more time trying
to get it to install.

Good Luck...
Gary
