One of these might help:
http://www.restorer2000.com/r2k.htm
http://www.hddrecovery.com.au
http://bootmaster.filerecovery.biz
http://www.runtime.org/ (GetDataBack - has a trial version)
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html
www.acronis.com (RecoveryExpert)

This is an obvious time to review your backup philosophy.
A 2.5" disk in an external USB case is a low-cost but
highly effective backup medium.

You use data recovery software, in demo mode, to determine if it can recover
the files.

If not, you take the drive to a recovery service. These are usually not
inexpensive. You should receive an estimate of what can be done and how
much it will cost; estimates are not always free.

I agree with Pegasus. I would even go further and get a second backup if
possible. Just last week, I was unfortunate enough to lose my primary HD in
the system as well as external backup drive in a single day. I guess that's
what weather change does to you. I was fortunate enough to have a 2nd
external drive with all files backed up.
