RAS dial issue from Mac clients

We have an IBM NetFinity 3500(800 MHz, 320 RAM, 20 gig
HD) running W2K server SP4. Its only purpose is to be a
RRAS server, It has no other apps installed on it. We are
currently able to successfully VPN, and dial into it from
any PC. We are also able to VPN to it from Mac OS X.
When we dial from any Mac (OS 9.2x and earlier) we get
the error on the Mac: "Terminated by remote host" in the
Remote Access Activity log. On The Mac connects,
authenticates and begins to negotiate protocols. It
connects for a second or two and then disconnects. The
errors in the event log are:

"The following error occurred in the Point to Point
Protocol module on port: COM6, UserName:
(e-mail address removed). The remote computer does not
support the required data encryption type."

And

"The following error occurred in the Point to Point
Protocol module on port: COM6, UserName:
(e-mail address removed). The remote computer does not
support the required data encryption type".

My question is why can I connect to this server with a pc
and not Mac?
