what is the purpose of adding a computer account ras and
ias server group?

is it that all ras server must be a member of this group
in win2k domain?

That gives those computers the ability to access the remote access
permissions of a domain users account which they need to do to determine if a
user has dial in permissions. Yes all rras servers that are domain members
should be a member of that group if you want them to access the users dial in
properties in Active Directory. --- Steve

It is my understanding that you also have to add the everyone to the pre-W2K
group also if you want users to authenticate by their domain accounts on a NT4.0 ras
server since it is not Active Directory capable. I personally have not implemented
that. You may also want to ask in the win2000.ras_routing newsgroup about that. ---
