Range Copy

Sure. Select what you want to copy, press Ctrl+C to copy to the clipboard,
then press Ctrl+V to paste into a new document.
 
I am an expert on the drag copy/past. I was wondering if there is any
mechanism to copy a range of pages that wasn't so messy, I guess not...
 
The problem is that Word isn't really page oriented. You could use some
combination of Go To and F8 for precise positioning. For example, use Edit -
Go To page x, where x is where you want to start), press F8, then Edit -
Go To page y+1, where y is the last page you want selected.

But, while this is precise, it's also messy.

How about this...? View - Zoom - Many Pages. This lets you see a number of
whole pages at one time. Click at the beginning of the first page you want
selected, Shift+Click at the end of the range, then drag.
