I just built a new computer a couple weeks ago and have been getting random

Seems there's quite a few of those around, its hardware related, video drivers,
i reinstalled SP2,went back to 07/04 drivers for ATI,then installed a hotfix
for xp SP2, # 892052 it seems to have disapeared. Also,if you add on a
limited
user account, you'll find that that account it will never happen.

I did a search for that hotfix and nothing came up.

I have an Nvidia Geforce FX5500 video card with the latest drivers. Are
Nvidia cards affected by this too? My old computer never did this. My old
computer had the same OS(XP Pro SP2)but an older Geforce 2 video card.

My mother PC has the same proplem. Do you think somebody will sort out a fix

The last time I got the error I sent the error report to Microsoft and got
directed to a web page. Usually this page just says the error was caused by
a device driver but this time it said that Microsoft was working on the
problem. So they do know about it and are looking into it.

Thanks for the response Kelly but none of the error codes in those posts are
the same as the error codes I'm getting. I only have one game currently
installed on my computer but I was getting these errors long before I
installed the game.

I have gotten the same error twice this past week. After each restart
nothing came up to send the error report to Microsoft, no errors were logged
in event viewer, and no memery dump was created. I checked all the settings
in Startup and Recovery and it is set to make a memory dump file and write an
event in the system log. Error Reporting and Event Log are both enabled in
services. Anyone know why this is happening?
