Random Crashes

OK a little about my pc's background. I first noticed this problem about 3
months ago. I installed a new nvidia driver for my fx 5200 graphics card.
There must have been something wrong with the driver cause once I did that
when every I mostly play video files my computer would just freeze. Although
it is not limited to freezing while playing video's, it would freeze on
startup, standby, restart, opening a txt file. It just does it randomly.
Sometimes It will work for days and sometimes it wont even restart.

So after trying to fix the problem with new nvidia drivers ( do note they
did remove th e driver that gave me this problem without me even complaining
) and failing I attempted to remove my graphic's card and run off of my
onboard vga driver. Go to find out its still freezing. I do not have the
error codes for when the card was still in the pc. But I do have the error
codes for the vga freezing.

This was going to be sent to M$ as a error report :
BCCode : 1000007e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : F6CE3C9B BCP3 : F709CC60
BCP4 : F709C95C OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb838.dir00\Mini091907-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb838.dir00\sysdata.xml

Now I have the dmp file with I can not add to this or view it as I dont have
the software to view it and notepad wont do. As far as the sysdata.xml file
I can not find that one anywhere on my pc. Even searched hidden files and
folders.

Now with the graphic's card when the system froze it would not write the
mini dump file. Without the card it finally wrote the error code. Here is
said code :

Error code 1000007e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 f6ce3c9b, parameter3
f709cc60, parameter4 f709c95c.

I'm gonna search back and see if I could find a error dmp for the card. But
i know it started with vxd.

Can anyone make sense of this? I would really like to use my pc again. now
it just sits alone getting dusty.

Thanks in advanced !!!

Background information

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

Hope this helps.

Unsigned drivers relate to Microsoft Agent. Do you have an English
language version of Windows XP?

Explanation of Error Codes Generated by Device Manager
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125174

Code 28
The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28).

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver

Solution button: Reinstall Driver

This code means the device was not installed completely.

To resolve this issue, follow the recommended solution. If that does not
work, try removing the device from Device Manager and using the Add New
Hardware wizard to redetect it. You may need to obtain updated drivers
if the error still occurs.

Bug check code D1
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795930.aspx

Other than confirming a driver problem this is not helpful. We need to
identify the driver.

Try the solution suggested by KB125174 suggested above.

What is the computer make and model?

I have a Gateway 614GE Desktop Computer. <a
href="http://support.gateway.com/support/allsysteminfo.asp?sn=QAC4C01500016">
My Computer's Support Page </a>

Now do you happen to know where I can get a digitaly signed M$ vga
controller ? remembering I have no internet at home so I would have to
download it here and then take it with me on a flash drive.

As far as my raid controller goes.. About a year ago I flashed my bios with
the wrong bios. I had the whole protection error thing and I fixed it. Had to
reput my windows serial number back in, when that didn't work I had to call
M$ which gave me a code and everything went fine from there. I have tried
over and over to find this said raid controller whatever that is used for.
But no luck. I know the vga should be on my windows cd but that was lost in
the move, I have my recovery disks but those are all sp 1.

Now for the drivers. I have no idea which driver that could be. Thus why I'm
here. Could all of this be due to the bios flash? Should I re-flash my bios
with the correct one thats on my computers support page ? And if I do that
will I have to redo everything like I did befor? I almost couldn't get my
computer back without reformatting.

Let me know what ya think or what I could do.
