Getting a good make of memory is important too, the makes you should go for are OCZ, Corsair, Samsung, Crucial, Kingston and maybe Geil (but a certain flopps has put me off em).
Pondering... I can get me Geil and Crucial. The only ones that are available with Warranty here. And Crucial is much less available.

Question: Is Geil that bad? I'm afraid I wont find a decent pair of Low Latency Crucial sticks easily...

Can't fault GeIL RAM - Top Stuff.

I choose it over Corsair, but thats preference, not based on anything technically...

They seem to have got their act together.

Chris reckons the sun shines from out of Geil's, er, backyard, so that's good enough for me ;)

Given your circumstances, I'd go for the Geil.

Sorry to point this out ... again,

With the exception of Samsung, not one of the above actually make the memory chips ... in fact, Corsair uses Samsung, ever wondered why there is a "heat spreader" on the chips?

:D
