ram problem

Hey, my computer has just started to crash all of the
time, sometimes the monitor clicks off and the power
supply stop, sometimes the screen just freezes.. I
remember sending an error report and being told that it
could be a driver problem. But it isnt...I was also told
to download a certain pogram that could be saved to a
floppy disk and would check my RAM for me..could someone
tell me what this program is called and where I could get
it from please?
