RAM problem in XP SP2

I installed a new motherboard last week...ASUS k8Ne Deluxe with a 64 bit
Athlon 3000+ processor and 1 Gig RAM. The RAM is recognized fine at boot but
when I go to my Computer and properties I find that only 400 meg is
recognized. Other third party programs recognize the Gig as well. Can anyone
help me get Windows to recognize the full gig? Thanks in advance.

This is actually a known issue with Service Pack 2 and is being worked. The

Thanks very much for the info. I assume from the reading of this that the
RAM is being used by Windows, just not recognized in My Computer,
Properties?

Not necessarily true. I've been running my system with 2.0Gb of RAM since I
first installed XP and it still reads correctly with SP2.

You're absolutely right on that Jerry, it's not an all the time thing,
however if you check in the system info, and it reports correctly, then the
issue will apply. I personally am running a gig of ram and have no issues,
the problem appears to be an intermittent one.
