Hi All

Can anyone help me? I am new to all this computer stuff and I am having problem installing Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 software. The message that I keep getting on my screen is:

The amount of RAM is not adequate for running Dragon Naturally Speaking 9

Does this mean that I do not have enough RAM? If so how do I delete old files to create more RAM?

My computer is a Packard Bell Celeron (R)

CPU 2.60GHz

2.59GHz

256MB of RAM

Systems: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition version 2002

Grateful for any advice

Steeve

It looks like Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 requires at least 512MB ram. You'd can't get more by deleting files as that would create more hard drive space. RAM is physical memory sticks, which you'd need to upgrade in order to use the software. I'd aim for 1GB of ram if you do upgrade.

You can use the online checker at www.crucial.com/uk to see what type of memory you need and how much it costs, but you'd have to be comfortable opening up your PC and fitting the memory modules.
