Want to use memory test but pc will not boot from floppy.
Verifying dmi pool data and then the infamous ....NTLDR is missing....
Bios is set to boot from floppy.Tried the floppy in another pc and all ok.
Both pc's take different types of ram so cannot tranfer.

A floppy drive can appear to be functional but is "broken" where boot disks
are concerned. Got a drive in this condition right out of the box. A call
to tech support resulted in an immediate issue of an RMA ticket. Confirm by
trying with other boot floppy disks to be sure it is a problem with the
drive and not the floppy. If it still fails, the solution is to replace the
drive.

Or, you could try a different RAM testing tool. There are some that work
off of bootable CD's. Example: http://www.tufftest.com/free.htm

Hi,

A trick that's worked for me in the past is to remove all other boot
devices, then it has no choice. If that still doesn't force the system to
boot to floppy, then reread Sharon's post, as the drive is likely defective.
