Is it possible to setup a RAID configured as follows:

2 WD Raptor 74 GB 10000 RPM drives striped as 1 148 GB drive.
and then these mirrored to
1 160 GB generic SATA 7200 RPM drive?

Thanks

Sure, if your RAID controller supports RAID 5.

If your RAID controller supports RAID 10 (1+0), it might be possible.
However, wouldn't your performance be dragged down to the performance of the
slower HD?

That's not worth the effort because you'll lose the extra read/writing speed
of the two striped drives as you mirror this onto a single drive. But, yeah.
Should be possible. Rule is: The speed of your raid will not exceed the
speed of your slowest disk in the raid.
