RAID 1 on XP2

Hello,

I am wondering if XP2 Supports mirrored drives in SATA interface?

I am familiar with tis in Server 2003 which I mainly use but I thought it
was the same in XP but I tried to set it in an XP machine with two WD RAPTORS
and I get an error after I try to set the mirror or spanned volume.

Error is something like this:

: cannot extend this volume due to an earlier OS installed or this is a file
system MBR:
Thanks in advance.

If you have sata connectors on your mobo, then likely the sata controler
supports various incarnations of raid.
Read the mobo manual for how to set up.
Hardware raid is preferable to software raid

Hello DL,

(It doesn't) wich I though was odd.

Yes, I did that prior to even trying the raid setup. However after a bit more
research I came across an article that said you cannot create a RAID 1 or any
RAID volume in XP Pro with the system files or page files on the drives.

Any feedback on this?

Thanks
Joe
