I want to configure an installation with two hard drives. On drive0 I will
create a C: and a D: partition. I want to configure Drive1 as an extension
on D: on Drive0, RAID0. How do I do this?

Thanks,
~alan

Click Start / Help, then look for help on "Mirror".

Thanks but I want to add a second hard drive as and extension to my first
hard drive (stripping), not mirror (RAID-1) it.

Save advice: Look for "striped" in Help. Note the spelling!

In general - use your hardware to stripe the drives. (Avoid software RAID.)

As far as controlling in the granular way you are stating - you don't get
that... Striping works the way striping works. What you are describing
sounds more like JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) - where the drives are
combined to look like one drive, but they are usually written to
sequentially... Meaning you have to fill up one to start writing to the
latter. There is no advantage to this in a performance point of view - and
only a little twinkle of possibility in a recovery point of view.
