radeon - electrical connection question

Why does it say in the manual specifically to connect to the hard drive?
Wouldn't it be better to just connect to a plug that isn't in use?

Disregard that. However, I'm not sure that it makes one bit of difference.
I believe they were assuming the worst case scenario (no pun intended) of
someone installing the card into an older case with all molex connectors
already in use and only one floppy connector from the PSU. Might also be
that they were worried about having it shared with a 12V fan... I've seen
no difference, whatsoever, regardless of how it was hooked up.
