Radeon 9100 and DVI under Linux

Hello,

I have a problem with my Radeon 9100 graphic card.
With WinXP I get 1280x1024 on my Sony monitor with DVI input. With
Mandrake 9.1 and the original XFree driver I only get 1024x768.
I downloaded the newest drivers for linux from ATI (Version 3.7.0 for
XFree 4.3.0), but I get no signal at the monitor with DVI.
With the analog VGA all (WinXP, original drivers XFree and ATI XFree
driver) work well.
Can someone help me?

Thanks
Michael

everything I've been reading tells me if you use linux you need to buy
Nvidia. ATI support for linux is weak. Having said that my Radeon 9600
PRO works great in 2D on Mandrake 9.2 I'm using XFree 4.3 with the ATI
driver and 1600X1200 looks good. 3D is another matter...my old TNT2 card
on the dual PII box is actually a good bit faster. :(

There was some info in the ATI driver documentation about DVI support with
linux. You might want to read it carefully again.

good luck
