R6025 error

Iam playing a game called Disciples 2 and in the
middle of my game for no apparent reason i am
recieving a R6025 error " pure virtual function call"
i read the there is a fix but it says this has to do
with powerpoint i do not have PP installed will this
fix my issue ?
