Quitting programs

Hi All;
Can someone please give me directions on how to quit all
unnecessary programs in Win2k Pro?
Thanks for everyones help..............
 
I just want to quit all unneccsary programs when I am
installing software, or doing some testing. I want to be
able to enable them once again, when I am done with what
ever I am working on. Can I stop them, and then start them
from Task Manager?

If you talking about disabling automatic startup program,
Startup Control Panel are useful.
