pay no attention to Frank Jim.
as you may have already surmised, he's pretty much the village idiot in
these parts.

I'm not the jackass who misquotes Bill Gates in his sig line you idiot.

Wrong! Sorry pal, but you just described and analogy that is correct. XP
to ME/WIN98 the big difference was how it used memory/resources.
Vista to XP the big difference is how it uses memory/resources.
It's a new OS, not simply an upgrade to XP!
Look it up if you don't believe me.
Frank

I always thought the biggest different, WHICH THE WAY IT USED RESOURCES WAS
An EFFECT OF, is that Win9x ran ON TOP OF DOS, where as NT-based OS's do
not.

I'm interested, from a command prompt, what does SET show in the line OS= ?

Oh really?
which one? care to provide proof that they're bogus?

c'mon Frank, you like to thump your chest in here demanding people provide
you with URL's & "white papers" to prove their points.
fact is, we've already been through this and I already told you where to
look to verify the quotes I use.
Every one is 100% verbatim and all are easily verifiable... that is if
you -chose- to.
the fact that you chose not to, makes -you- wrong, not me.

well? what about it? - put up or shut up...
(not that I actually believe either of those things will -ever- happen)

hell, I switched to quoting you for a while there, you didn't seem to like
that much either
ROFL
I'm not the jackass
wrong again... as usual.

You're the one misquoting others, not me. The funny part is you think
googling is definitive proof that a particular quote was actually made
by someone.
That's ridiculously absurd and extremely naive.
But really, who gives a shit.
I certainly don't care what you do.

Frank

misquotes?
so what if I am? what's it to you? what, are you defending Bill G's honor,
is that it?

oh ok, I get it now...
you've already stated right here in this ng that you've been to his house.
was there more to it than just a social visit? a rendevous perhaps?

deos Melinda know?
LMFAO

Well you are a wild ass little guesser there Frank. I built a new system for
Vista. I am a quick learner with over 20 years of experience with all
operating systems and a wide range of hardware. I spent hours learning Vista
and debugging hardware issues. Am I not entitled to my opinion that Vista
needs work? Why are you not allowing me to have an opinion Frank? Who made
you king of this list?
Wow you are really experienced.
I guess the fact that I installed Vista Premium on my 1
year old Asus A8N and that it runs faster and more
stable than XP, must be my imagingation.

I must have done something wrong.
Oh yes I installed XP as a Virtual Operating System in
Vista so I can have it the old way as well.
