Quicktime inserts itself into Startup every time it is invoked

Every time I view a movie file with Quicktime, Quicktime declares itself a
startup program, and I have to use MSConfig to flush it. Is there a way to
prevent it from doing that (and is there a general way to prevent other
programs from doing the same thing)?
 
Hi Lee,

Change your options in QuickTime for it not to load at/in Startup.
 
Open Quick Time, click Edit menu/Preferences/Quick Time Preferences: Make
sure that the options for Instant On, and Update Check aren't selected.
