Quicktime freezes up fairly new install of Windows XP Pro. The program will
try to open and then the machine freezes. Hard reboot required. I even tried
the next oldest version. Any Ideas? Is there a better place to post this? I
have tried posting to Apple user groups with no luck. Is there anyway around
using Quicktime? I do not use it much mostly Windows Media and Adobe Flash.

If you have a Kodak camera installed, with its software; Kodak uses quicktime
for its video part in the camera.

And iTunes needs quicktime.

No. I finally was able to get it to open QuickTime settings in control panel
and uncheck enable direct draw on secondary monitors I only have one so I
don't know what difference that would make.
