QuickStitch v.1 (98) Won't Work

I can't get old QuickStitch to work on new computer(XP).
Compatibility Wizard no help. Won't work in 'run' either.
Error message window says the program 'has encountered a
problem & must close-sorry for the inconvenience'. Won't
throw computer from apt window just yet...
 
This software will not work on XP. I am not sure but I don't think there is
an upgrade to work on XP.
