Quickparts stopped working in OL 2007

I've been using OL 2007 for quite a while.
Today, the functionality of Quickparts STOPPED.
Neither does the F3 function work, nor is there any "drop-down" of the menu
when I click on the QUICKPARTS ICON.
Is there possibly a template that got "disassociated" with my OL2007?

possibly. but if so, the quick parts should open, but be empty. Have you
tried Help, Office diagnostics?

Alas, Quick Parts does not open.
However, what I did attempt was to create a new set of QUICK PARTS.
When I highlighted, for example, a "signature block," the QUICK PARTS Icon
allowed me to save it as a new QP. I added two others as well.
HOWEVER, when I rebooted my computer and restarted OL2007, my previously
save, "new" QP vanished.

I did run at your suggestion, OFFICE DIAGNOSTICS.
It found 1 problem -- with two possible solutions:
The first was that my system is affected by "STORAGEGUARD" by Sonic.
I do not have this on my computer (a Toshiba Notebook w/ WP); nor do I have
any other program by Sonic.
The second was a suggestion that I update my OFFICE PROGRAMS.

In any event, this sudden and spontaneous erasure of my QUICK PARTS files --
TWICE -- is very strange.

If anyone else has encountered this, please send out the EMERGENCY HELP
BRIGADE. (I really have come to rely upon QUICK PARTS in both OL and in my
WORD activities).
