Quick Launch

I turned the quick launch toolbar off, and now when I turn it back on it is
shifted to the right on the start bar.
How do I get it back to it's original location?

You should be able to drag it to wherever you want....sometimes it takes a
few tries. One nice thing about WinXP is that it lets you lock the taskbar -
I was always accidentally moving it when I had 2k. ;-)

find a blank area of the quick launch and drag it over to where you
need it

No good, by default the quick launch is immediately after the start button
on space between. There is by default what would appear to be a slide bar
to the left and right of the quick launch bar. However, only the right side
is adjustable. I can drag it to the left just not all the way to the left
as the default.

Well drag the bar that is in the way .. out of the way if you see what I
mean :) .. it can be done had it happen lots of times.

If you are dragging it correctly you'll get a 4 pointed cursor when you
click and drag. If you just sliding it you'll get a two pointed one.
