Quick Launch Toolbar Missing

Suddenly my XP Pro is missing teh Quick Launch Toolbar when booted up. I
have to manually put it in place - and then it is gone the next time I
reboot. How can I correct this so the toolbar is there when the computer is
booted up?

Quick Launch settings are not saved; Search Assistant Toolbar in Taskbar

Attempted this fix, but there was no malware installed and the settings were
as suggested. Still unable to have the Quick Launch settings saved at
closedown.

Finally found a link to Kelly's Kroner - XP Tweaks and Fixes.

Used a registry fix to Save User Settings and the Quick Launch Bar is once
again saved on closing down or rebooting.
