Quick Launch Tool Bar

Grab hold of the little lines to the right of the Quick Lauch bar and drag
it to the right. If you position your mouse over those lines, the cursor
should change to the double-ended arrow for dragging.

If you are unable to expand the taskbar as said by "Jane" then right-click on
the Taskbar and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar" option.

I finally realized that by default there are a "minimum" of 3 icons displayed
left of the Quick Launch button. Additional icons display in the drop down
menu. If you want your most used quick launch icons to appear in the drop
down menu, you need to place 3 other icons in the space to the left. I guess
there is no maximum number of icons that will appear in the drop down menu.

Thanks

No. This is not completely true. By default, there are 3 icons but you can
increase the number of icons to display in Quick Launch and if you don't need
the drop down list then you can expand the area of Quick Launch toolbar and
maybe you were asking for the same. Just unlock the Taskbar.

1. Right-clicking on the Taskbar and uncheck the Lock the Taskbar option
2. You will notice a handler (or lines) befoe and after the Quick Launch
icons.
3. Move your mouse pointer near to that line and expand it as per your
requirement.
4. The drop down list will still available if you will place more icons than
quick launch area.

Hope this help, let us know!
