Quick Launch is on the right of the taskbar

I've never had this problem before. How do I make the quick launch icons go
back to the LEFT side of the taskbar, where they're supposed to live?

Right click an empty area of the Taskbar. Unlock the Taskbar. See that
faint dotted line on the left side of the icons in your Quick Launch Bar?
Grab it and drag it back where it belongs. Lock the Taskbar.

Have your tried unlocking the task bar, unchecking Quicklaunch on the
toolbar submenu THEN rechecking Quicklaunch?

Ah, not so simple, Kevin. The Taskbar is, in fact, unlocked. There is a
"faint" line (as you call it) right next to the "Start" button, but it won't
drag to the right. Then, there are buttons for the windows I have open.
Then (moving right), there is another faint line. Then, the buttons that
I've added to the task bar. In the past, the tasbar has always been on the
left and the buttons for open windows on the right. But even when I try to
drag the taskbar buttons all the way to the left in the very small space
between the faint line and the "Start" button, they won't go there. And when
I drag the faint line that is between the "windows" buttons and the task bar,
it resizes the task bar, but still the task bar items are on the right.

Any other ideas?

Wait! The problem is solved! Once you close all other windows, you *can*
drag the faint line all the way over to the left; the taskbar buttons follow
obediently. Then, when you open windows again, their buttons show up on the
right, where God intended them to be!

Thanks all!
