Recently, my quicklaunch toolbar has dissapeared. I have tried a numbe
of solutions including rolling back to a restore point a month ago an
checking whether the folder was present. the quicklaunch folder i
present and all of my icons are there. the problem goes as follows:

my quicklaunch toolbar dissapeared and now when i try to get it to com
back
(rightclick toolbar->toolbars->quicklaunch) i get the error that say
"Cannot create toolbar". when i look at the properties option for th
toolbars, quicklaunch is unchecked. when i check it and select apply
nothing happens and when i click "OK", close the window and the
re-open it, the quicklaunch option is unchecked again.

Please help. any assistance is greatly appreciated. thank you ahead o
time

I recently had the same problem. I believe mine had someting to do with the registry. Not too long before my problem started i had made a backup of my registry so i decided to import my backup and it seems to have solved the problem. I'm not sure where the problem was exactly and no one elses advice about where to check helped either. I know this isn't really any help but if you have a backup of your registry anywhere, try restoring it.

Did you resolve the problem?
I don't get any error codes, I go into taskbar menu and the Quic
Launch box is unchecked, I click on it and then OK and it does nothing
I have tried to restore and it still will not come back
