quick launch customization

I know what a pain it is to customize Windows, but I want to move my quick
launch buttons to under the start button.

I have my task bar enlarged to two lins so it show the date, which leaves a
gap under the start button. This is where I want to move my quick launch
toolbar. Does anyone know if its possible? and if so, how?

It's fast and easy to customize Windows when you spend the time to learn
how to do it.

Nothing can be placed directly underneath the Start button.

Are you sure? Have you spent the time to learn whether or not it's possible? Can you point to some documentation that explains why
it's not?
