Quick Launch Bar icon corrupted

Hi,
I use the Quick Launch bar a lot. Recently one of my icons appears to have
become corrupt (Outlook 2003). When I click on it (either left or right)
the egg timer icon appears and I can do nothing in the Taskbar at all. When
I mouse over anywhere on the Taskbar after this the egg timer icon shows up.
I can continue working on any open apps OK but to restart I have to use
Ctrl+Alt+Del. If I don't use this icon on the Quick Launch bar I can launch
Outlook 2003 using the start button. All other icons on the Quick Launch
bar work as per normal (Word, Excel, etc).

How can I either remove or repair this icon?

Drag a new shortcut from Outlook 2003 into the quick launch and delete the
bad icon. Still getting an error?

Forgot that you can't right-click & delete. Can you drag it to the Recycle
Bin?

navigate to the folder:

<drive letter>:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

and delete the shortcut thats causing the problem. if you can!
