Questions Regarding Text in PowerPoint

Hi-

Two questions regarding text in PowerPoint:

1) How do I get rid of the "space" between text in a text box? Sometimes
when I press Enter to enter text on separate lines in a text box, it puts the
text almost immediately beneath the text above, and sometimes there is a
space. I would like to be able to control this.

2) How can I force PowerPoint to paste text in the same way that I copy it?
I read the help files and posts on this community about using the Paste
Options button, but all that seems to do for me is paste the text again, not
re-format to how it originally appeared.

Thanks.

Format menu > line spacing > the 2nd setting is the gap between each
newline/paragraph of text

Unfortunately powerpoint thinks it knows best. What you need to do is "paste
special" - unformatted text.

Or "pick up style" > paste text > "apply style"

Select the text then use Format, Line Spacing to adjust space between lines and
paragraphs

What version of PowerPoint do you use, where are you copying the text from and
where are you pasting it (ie, into notes, onto the slide, into an existing
placeholder ...)?

You must be on a 10 minutes time lag!
