i would like to know is there any way i can get my computer restored it to
factory defaults? and what is the "restore cd" that came with my computer?

Please find and read the User's Guide that came with your computer.
Generally, a "Restore CD" will return your computer to its original
factory condition. Make sure you backup any important files since
it'll probably reformat your hard drive before reinstalling the Windows
XP operating system.

Im no expert, but ive used my "restore disk" to restore my laptop to its
original "clean" condition when I first purchased it from the supplier.
Before you use it though,I made sure I made copies of all my important files
(music/videos/favourite websites,etc..) because all this will be lost when
you use this disk.
Hopefully one of the experts on here may be able to help you further.
Good luck

i tried formatting it but it said it was unable to, and i also put in the
restore cd and what came up was "files currently on the cd"...3 folders that
called drivers, manuals, tools (there is nothin in that folder), AUTORUN,
W2646002.GHS, and windows (i clicked that and windows picture and fax viewer
came up that said "no preview available"

Reboot with the CD in the drive.
