Hello;

I have removed MS Exchange 2000 from a SBS server.

Since doing this, the only way to start the active
directory services seems
to be via the MS ADC in the services manually. Even
though it is set to start as Automatic in the services.

I do not need exchange to run any more on this system,
but need the AD services to start on startup.

How can I get AD to do this, without having to start the
ADC service manually from services each time the system
is re-booted?

Has the forestprep or domainprep commands any thing to do
withis? It is like it relies on the ADC to start the AD,
so I need to have this start automaticlly from somewhere
else, otherwise AD and all it's functions are not
available until this happens.

Kind regards

Hi Stuart-

This would best be directed to the microsoft.public.exchange2000.general
newsgroup.
