Sometimes when I download files such as shareware, it'll be saved to a
temporary folder that I can't locate even using the search function. Is
there a way to set the default folder for everything I download? If I can
find it, I can copy to another location later.

rck, First, create a Download Folder on your C drive. When you
choose to Save to Computer, that folder will display in the dialog
box. Easy.

No, not so easy. I have a "download" folder. If I go to PC Worlds site, for
example, some of the shareware downloads only say that it is downloading the
file, but not to where and there is no status bar. Afterward I must do a
search to find the file and it'll indicate some temporary folder within
Windows, but then when I try to go to the file from Windows Explorer, it
can't be found. Some downloads go right to my Download folder with no
problem. Perhaps these "lost" files never download at all? Maybe the problem
is with PC worlds site? Maybe the files are zipped and PK Zip hides them
somewhere? I dunno.
