Question regarding XP line

I know this not a 64 question, but rather a XP question; however this
seemed like a group with folks knowledgeable on AMD processors all
around, and so let me throw it out there.

I would like to make a small upgrade to my processor, XP 1600 (1.4 GHz)
to XP 3000 (2.1 GHz).
Would I see a big enough difference to warrant the $100+ for the new
CPU?

I agree. 1600 --> 3000 maybe, but 2600 --> 3000, honestly not worth the
money. Could you overclock your 2600?
