I know this is a newbie question but please be patient.

I am going to get a DVD player/recorder for my new computer. I have
hundreds and hundreds of digital photos from my rose gardens. If I
record JPEG's form my rose collestion photos will I be able to play
that DVD on any DVD player?

TIA

Someone responded yes provided that your DVD player has the capibility to
play jpegs, look in your owners manual for your DVD player.

on any DVD player=NO it depends on the player.

Your question, does not mention VCR in the text, just the subject. This is
baffling. Moving analog video from the VCR involves a interface card, and
software designed to work with that inteface..

If you burn the jpgs to the DVD, whether they play or not depends on the
application used to display them on the PC. If you mean to roll like a
slide show, this involves more particular software.

Whether the data is recordable to DVD depends on the software installed on
your PC. XP has no native recording function to DVD.
